Four accomplished veterans dancing the Senior Night away

Ever wonder what happens when a full-bearded, rhythm-deficient, dance-adverse ogre tries to move in step with a squad of highly-trained and very lovely dancers? Well, that was more or less the scene Tuesday night, as I heeded an invitation from senior co-captain Sarah Simnowitz to participate in the dance team's final practice of the season. For someone whose previous dance experience consists of one hopelessly awkward Friday evening in ninth grade, let's all take a moment to be thankful that there were no reported injuries.

While most of the town remains hopelessly fixated on the declining state of our men's basketball team, I relished the opportunity to see firsthand the camaraderie and companionship of a close-knit, well-coached team. Forget about Jason Clark, Keith Jenifer, Jermaine Harper and Elton Brown already. Last night's final home game wasn't just Senior Night for the basketball players. It was also Senior Night for four talented dancers
