Women's tennis performs well in fall tournament

The University of Virginia continues to put on a strong showing at the ITA Regionals in West Point, N.Y. Rachel DelPriore advanced to the singles round of 16 Sunday. The Williamsville, N.Y. native, seeded No. 13, defeated a Penn State challenger 6-1 6-2 in the round of 32.

The team of DelPriore and Douglas Wink moved ahead to the doubles round of 16 as well. The duo is the No. 5 seed in the tournament. They slammed an opposing Dartmouth pair 8-0 in the first round before downing two contenders from St. John's to advance to the round of 16.
