Sept 18 -- The Virginia women's basketball team has named the 2006-2007 season's captains: senior guard Tara McKnight, senior center Siedah Williams and junior point guard Sharneé Zoll.

Williams and Zoll are the Cavaliers' starting center and point guard, and were both captains during the 2005-2006 season.

Last seson McKnight took the floor in 13 games, and shone against Longwood when she scored career high totals in points, assists and rebounds. Zoll, named the team's Best Defensive Player, was the second highest scorer, averaging 11.2 points per game just behind William's 11.8.

Virginia finished the 2005-2006 season with a 20-12 overall record and a 5-9 conference record. The season opener is scheduled for November 10th at Rhode Island and the home opener for November 12th against Old Dominion.
