Let the revolution begin: I bring you, The John

It's revolution time Wahoo fans, you better take a seat and hold on.

A few months ago, I sat around pondering the state of Virginia basketball. This season, after all, is certainly one for the history books. Virginia has its most talented team in recent memory, a dedicated coach with the respect of his players and a legitimate shot at making the NCAA Tournament. Most importantly, however, 2006-07 marks the inaugural basketball season inside the John Paul Jones Arena.

For those of you who haven't seen the inside yet, it certainly has lived up to the hype. The millions (well) spent, in my opinion, have delivered an incredible multi-purpose arena that arguably no other college program can match.

Without question, the new arena (and the increased crowds inside) will give the Virginia basketball program a boost of energy both on and off the court. Now here's the important part -- so listen closely. John Paul Jones Arena is only missing one thing that will truly launch it into the upper-stratosphere of athletic venues: a great nickname.

Think about it. The best of the best venues have great nicknames. I'm not talking about the kind of lame initials-driven nickname currently plastered on 90 percent of the arenas out there. Yes, I understand J
