Love your Body Week begins

As part of 'Love Your Body Week' at the University, Theta Nu Xi, one of the University's multicultural sororities, hosted HerStory. The presentation contained educational and interactive aspects, including a discussion of the struggle of women to gain admittance at the University. The University began to admit women in 1970, and now the demographics of the University have changed significantly, and women comprise about fifty-four percent of the University's undergraduate students.

Ashely Adams, membership director of Theta Nu Xi, and coordinator of HerStory said that "[The sorority promotes] a message of self acceptance, [improving women's self-esteem], and [the event] actually fits in pretty well with Love Your Body Week."
