Ogletree Tears ACL

Virginia football coach Al Groh's 2007 bowl aspirations took a hit yesterday as he announced that junior wide receiver Kevin Ogletree tore his ACL and will require surgery. Ogletree will likely miss the entire 2007 season.

"He is understandably disappointed," Groh said yesterday. "Going into the third year is when it really happens for a lot of guys. He had been really tunnel-visioned toward that. We just have to realize that year is coming back again. We just put it on ice. It is not like it is lost forever."

Last season, Ogletree boosted Virginia's offense, catching 52 passes for 582 yards and four touchdowns. Ogletree's 52 receptions landed him third in the ACC last season.
