Ryan to join Women's Basketball Hall of Fame 2008 class

University women's basketball coach Debbie Ryan has been selected as a member of the 2008 Women's Basketball Hall of Fame class.

According to a WBHOF press release, the announcement was made July 15 at the WNBA All-Star game in Washington D.C.

The Hall of Fame, located in Knoxville, Tenn., requires that all coaches have at least 20 years of experience coaching women's basketball before being considered for membership, the press release stated.

Ryan has been a coach at the University for 30 years.
