Finally... I get to give the grades

Virginia may have lost in the ACC Tournament, but being the nutty basketball fan that I am, I stuck it out in Charlotte until the end. To my dismay, North Carolina and Duke didn't play in the finals, though the UNC-Clemson matchup certainly was not lacking in excitement. (The Tar Heels took down Clemson 86-81.)

With North Carolina, Duke, Clemson and Miami all selected to move on to the NCAA Tournament yesterday, I figured that for those of you who didn't watch these teams in every game could use a little info that might help your brackets this week. Here are grades of each team's performance based on what it accomplished, what it needed to accomplish, and how it played. And, for your bracket-busting pleasure, I have included how each will finish in the NCAA Tournament.

(Side note: Virginia Tech came within a hair of North Carolina in the ACC Tournament semifinal, which would have almost certainly sealed the team a bid. Even with that loss, I am of the opinion that the Hokies got snubbed.)

1. North Carolina

GRADE: A- ELIMINATION RD: Final Four

So, the Tar Heels won the ACC Tournament. Though that accomplishment is nothing to sneeze at
