Biased coverage

Stephanie Waties' article on health care ("The costs of good care", Sept. 17) seemed to have good intentions; however, it was extremely biased. Students should be informed about the government health care proposals, but they should be presented the information in such a way that both sides of the argument are equally represented without bias, so that each individual can form his or her own opinion on the issue. Waties made the heath care issue seem like there was no point for anyone to debate it, and with the information provided in the article, an uninformed student might take all of it to be unbiased fact. I think that it is great that The Cavalier Daily makes an effort to cover important social and political issues, but it should strive to inform students, not brain wash them.

Lauren Seeliger and Brandon Kile, two third-year Cavalier Daily News writers, discuss the impact of the student housing frenzy on both University students and the Charlottesville community.
