No. 3 Virginia hosts in-state foe Old Dominion

The third-ranked Virginia field hockey team opens the home portion of its schedule with a Sunday afternoon clash against in-state foe Old Dominion. The Cavaliers (2-0) are coming off two convincing road victories against St. Joseph's and No. 18 Penn State last weekend. Junior midfielder Paige Selenski led the team with three goals, while midfielders Katie Robinson and Taylor Swezey each contributed four points.

Virginia will face another tough opponent in No. 16 Old Dominion (1-1). Junior forward Kathryn Kirk and senior midfielder Loran Hatch lead the Lady Monarchs, which lost to Penn State 4-0 but defeated No. 15 American 2-1 last week.

The game will begin at 1 p.m. at Turf Field.
