Zeglinski may miss 2010 start

The Virginia men's basketball team will continue preparing for the upcoming season without redshirt junior guard Sammy Zeglinksi for an undetermined period after he undergoes a left knee operation today.

The guard injured the knee in practice Oct. 19, three years after injuring his ankle in 2007, which led him to miss 24 games that season.

Zeglinski has led the Cavaliers in assists and steals the previous two seasons and started 44 games. Last season, he averaged 8.9 points and 3.8 rebounds per game, including a season-high 21 points March 11 against Boston College.
