Friends abroad

Having just returned from the University's study abroad program in Valencia, Spain, I was surprised to read in "Going International" (Jan. 19) that one person had not met a single native Spaniard during his experience there. It is true that there are only American students in the courses themselves, but there are ample opportunities to make friends within the community.
