Here are the facts about abortion in Virginia: There are approximately 26,000 abortions performed in Virginia every year, yet from 1999 to 2009 only a single death could be blamed on abortion according to a Sept. 13 Dailypress.com column, "Emergency Regulations' threaten Virginia's abortion clinics." Abortion is extremely safe, and any supposed public health threat from clinics is an utter fiction.
