Starting this semester, students will have the option to study in the original library of the University: the Rotunda. In a pilot project, the Dome Room, the North Oval Room, the Lower West Oval Room and the Lower East Oval Room will have specific times reserved for student study. First-year Dome Room dinners will also return after a two-year hiatus.

Virginia Board of Health members approved permanent regulations on abortion clinics in the state Friday in an 11-2 vote. Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli certified the regulations on the same day.

Three deans will undergo performance reviews as part of their consideration for reappointment, Provost John Simon announced last week. Simon appointed separate committees to conduct reviews for College Dean Meredith Woo, Law School Dean Paul Mahoney and Nursing School Dean Dorrie Fontaine.

Charlottesville Police are still investigating an assault that occurred at the Buffalo Wild Wings on Emmet Street Friday night. Three people were sent to the University Medical Center and a fourth individual was arrested in a fight that reportedly involved a group of 20 people.
