Attendance hits bottom

A well-known Under Armour advertisement proclaims, "Protect this house." During Saturday night's game against Eastern Michigan, the Virginia football team did just that, defeating the Eagles 48-21 en route to its first FBS victory in more than a year.



It goes without question that Saturday's thorough butt-kicking of Virginia Military Institute was utterly meaningless.


Former Cavs thrive as pros

Several former Cavaliers now playing in the NFL enjoyed offensive success this past weekend. Texans quarterback Matt Schaub led Houston to a 30-27 victory in overtime against the Washington Redskins.
