Honor Committee elects new executive committee members

The Committee also discussed the idea of requiring students to complete the Honor module annually or biannually.
The vice chair for treasury is to be renamed as the vice chair for operations — and will now involve management of the Committee’s financial and operational tasks.
The message requested that members of the University community uphold the standards of the Honor Code, describing it as “a shared value and commitment” and a hallmark of student self-governance.
The plan that was approved by the committee would maintain the current single-sanction system in place. However, it would eliminate expulsion as a sanction and would replace it with a two-semester leave of absence.
Honor's recently-released Bicentennial Report finds that the Informed Retraction has reduced the number of hearings necessary in the adjudication process while also decreasing the number of guilty hearing outcomes.
Honor's recently-released Bicentennial Report includes statistics which reveal a disproportionately high reporting rate of Asian American and international students since 2012.
