Second-year Lisa Kopelnik plans to improve community trust, diversity during term as UJC chair

As the protestors gathered in the rain outside of New Cabell Hall and marched through the inclement weather to Madison Hall, they chanted “cut the check,” among other union and protest chants.

Though having a program in place last year, the office worked to improve the program taking into account student feedback and incorporating favorite meal items from the prior year.

U.Va. provides meals accommodations for students participating in Ramadan

The Muslim Students Association has been working on accommodations and planning events for Ramadan since its first overlap with the academic school year in 2018.

Eric Swensen, public information officer for U.Va. Health Newsroom, said that this announcement stems from a steady decline in the number of COVID-19 cases and COVID-19 test positivity rate in recent months.

U.Va. Health announces new masking and visitation policies

U.Va. Health announced today that there will be new masking and visitation policies beginning April 18. The areas in which face masks are optional will be expanded to include administrative and outpatient centers. The University Medical Center visitation policies will return to those in place before the pandemic.

The suspect is currently being held without bond.

Students at the University have established a chapter of the co-ed, Environmental Science fraternity Epsilon Eta. Epsilon Eta was founded in 2006 at UNC Chapel hill as a co-ed environmental fraternity, and has grown in popularity with 18 active chapters across the United States.

New chief executive officer appointed to U.Va. Physicians Group

President of August Medical Group Dr. J. Scott Jus was appointed Monday as the new chief executive officer of the University of Virginia Physicians Group. Just will be taking over the role from J. Corey Feist, who stepped down Dec. 31, 2021.

The worker died last month after falling from the west connector bridge to the Ridley Building.
