Women’s soccer goes 2-0, advances to Elite 8

Virginia snatched an early 1-0 lead that afternoon, as a low strike from star senior forward Makenzy Doniak found the left corner a little after one minute into the game. Friday night, it took the Cavaliers more than 50 minutes to break through.

Rowing caps fall season with victories at Rivanna Romp

The Virginia women’s rowing team capped its fall season in style Sunday morning on the Rivanna Reservoir, registering a pair of wins at the Rivanna Romp. The host Cavaliers — dominant at the regatta over the past decade — posted multiple standout times in both the Varsity Eights and Varsity Four races.

​Cavaliers fall short in ITA Nationals

Despite fielding the top seed in both the men’s and women’s singles brackets, both Virginia women’s and men’s tennis came up empty-handed in the ITA/USTA National Indoors this past weekend in Flushing, New York, as none of the six Cavalier qualifiers of the prestigious tournament made it past their quarterfinal matches in the men’s or women’s draws against the stacked field of national opponents.
