As Brock Berlin picked apart the Virginia secondary last November in Charlottesville and effectively killed Virginia's chances of winning the ACC title, I couldn't help but say to myself 'Phillip Brown was supposed to solve this problem.' The cornerback was the number one ranked recruit in the state of Virginia coming out of high school in 2003.

Originally hired as head coach of the women's tennis team in 1983, Phil Rogers announced his retirement from the position on July 8. Rogers compiled a 260-233 record during his 23 years at Virginia and sent seven teams to the NCAA tournament.
