Virginia defeats Dukes in second-half rally

The difference between the first and second halves of last night's field hockey game between Virginia and James Madison was night and day. After a meager beginning, sophomore midfielder Allison Flynn led the Cavaliers' second half charge.

World Cup soccer squad sets to work at Klöckner

The number of pre-pubescent screaming girls lined up around Klöckner Stadium last Saturday morning was so large that the only logical explanation for the scene seemed to be that Britney Spears or Justin Timberlake was preparing to perform a concert at the soccer stadium. But the name the multitude of young females screamed out in adoration was not "Justin" or "Britney." It was "Mia." Legendary soccer player and national superstar Mia Hamm along with the rest of the U.S.

Christian paces Cavaliers at Lou Onesty Invitational

The Virginia cross country team hosted the Lou Onesty Invitational Saturday in Charlottesville. Will Christian took top honors for the men, winning the individual title for the Virginia men's cross country squad. Overall, the women's team produced six runners in the top 19 while the men finished their best six runners in the top 21. Christian won the title with a time of 24:28.90.
