At a meeting of the University?s Board of Visitors last week, Virginia athletic director Craig Littlepage proposed plans for a new indoor athletics facility for the use of outdoor University varsity teams.?We have a need for indoor space for those teams which are ?field teams,?? Littlepage said at the meeting, adding that ?in the current climate that we are dealing with, in the case of inclement weather,? practices often must be cancelled.Littlepage noted that the facility would be climate-controlled and would include a turf field.?compiled by Paul Montana
