Lundy carries Wahoos to win in spring game

Wali Lundy was a workhorse Saturday, carrying 23 times for 75 yards and throwing a nine-yard touchdown pass to lead the Wahoos to a 10-7 victory over the Cavaliers in Virginia's annual intrasquad spring football game. "I thought both teams performed well," tight end Heath Miller said.

Wynn powers Cavs in game one; Radford prevails in nightcap

After rain postponed a scheduled Wednesday afternoon matchup, Virginia split a doubleheader with Radford yesterday. The Cavalier defense struggled mentally in the first game, allowing several Highlander runs on errors. In the bottom of the fifth, junior Jenn Wynn nailed a three-run homer to left field, allowing the Cavaliers to gain the lead, 7-5.

Virginia women's rowing looks for fifth consecutive conference championship

The women's rowing team has won the past four ACC rowing championships and will attempt to keep that streak alive, when the fifth tournament is held Saturday on Lake Hartwell in Clemson, S.C. Virginia's first varsity eight team is ranked sixth in the nation and should get its toughest competition from Duke, whose first varsity eight is ranked 20th.
