Competing fresh off the Virginia Challenge — one of the most nationally competitive outdoor track and field meets of the year — a limited representation of the Virginia outdoor track and field teams competed at the Highlander Invitational at Radford, Va. this past weekend.
With 62 teams and 1,200 competitors coming to Charlottesville last week for the Virginia Challenge, the Virginia men’s and women’s outdoor track and field teams had a lot on their plate in terms of competition.
This past weekend, 62 teams and over 1,200 athletes gathered in Charlottesville to participate in the Virginia Challenge — one of the most competitive meets of the season. That didn’t deter the Virginia outdoor track and field teams, though. The Cavaliers embraced the competition and their tenacious attitude led to another successful meet for the teams.
