Students pass one of four honor proposals

With high voter turnout this week, University students voiced their opinions on the honor system loudly and clearly. Of the four honor referenda presented on the Student Council ballot, the student body passed only one.

Proposal #1, which passed by a vote of 69.5 percent to 30.4 percent, changes the role of honor counsel at trial. Counsel will no longer represent accused students, but will advise them instead. The Honor Committee will implement the change immediately.
