The event also honored the inaugural recipient of the Spirit of 1974 Award, Simone Minor, Center intern and fourth-year College student.
Throughout the event, Richmond stressed the global rise in human trafficking victims over the last few years, and said that the excessive profit derived from the forced labor obtained from human trafficking remains the largest driver of the illegal industry.
Within the ticket, Mitchell is running for Student Council president, Pérez is running for Student Council vice president for administration and Tran is running for Student Council vice president for organizations.
The start of the spring semester marks the time for formal fraternity and sorority recruitment — a process which roughly 25 percent of the student body takes part in.
While the Fall 2025 semester continues to close with students taking final exams, the University and other groups on Grounds are providing free academic support and mental health resources to students.
