Majestic back on the map in October

Virginia men's basketball coach Pete Gillen is hopeful that sophomore guard Majestic Mapp will return to practice on October 13 after recovering from a second arthroscopic surgery on his right knee performed in August. As a freshman in 1999-2000, Mapp was second on the team with 69 assists and scored in double figures five times. Mapp is a leading candidate to fill Donald Hand's shoes at point guard for the 2001-2002 season.
