Dialing with the intent to sell

THE PHONE rings at 8 a.m. on the day you have your latest class. Having gone to sleep just a few hours earlier after an intense night of studying, you groggily reach over to your phone. Who could it be calling this early in the day -- an emergency from a friend or family perhaps? As you put your head to the earpiece, you hear a recorded message asking you if you would like to purchase a credit card. Why on earth would anyone care about a credit card that early in the morning? You try to go back to sleep but it's too late; you're already wide-awake
