This weekend, the No. 31 Virginia women's tennis team will face two daunting Ivy League opponents, both matches away from the comfort of a home court.
The Cavaliers (5-1) will start their intense weekend Saturday with a match at Princeton (0-0), and then follow up Sunday at Penn (2-0).
"We feel pretty good on the road," coach Phil Rogers said. "Princeton and Penn will be our two really good top notch opponents. They always get up for us, and we get up for them too. Those will be two tough matches. We'll be ready."
The women face Princeton in the Tigers' debut spring season match. Princeton has not competed since November, when they played in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association National Indoor competition. In the singles matches, junior Stephanie Berg and sophomore Alison Hashmall will lead Princton's team and pose the greatest threat to Virginia.
