JMU crowd delights in Maroon 5

Last night, Rahzel, Less Than Jake and Maroon 5 took the stage at James Madison University to give a concert loaded with energy. The fact that Maroon 5 is probably the best known group among the three was not noticeable from the way the audience acted -- they sang along, jumped up and down, stripped and body-surfed.

Rahzel took the stage first. To tell you the truth, I had never heard of the guy. Now that I have seen him perform, I really don't care for my newly gained knowledge. At first, he impressed everyone with his ability to recreate the sounds of a DJ table. He was creating his own back ups, although there was nothing and no one to lead him. But his knack for creating two, even three sounds at once was truly incredible. Unfortunately, that is not something that would impress anyone on an album because listeners would just presume that there was a DJ working alongside him.
