Virginia men's golf finishes eighth in ACC Tourney, O'Connell leads Cavs

The Virginia men's golf team finished eighth in the ACC Tournament held last weekend in New London, N.C. Virginia shot 296 in the last round to take its three-day tally to 889(+18), 45 shots behind the winning Clemson Tigers. The Tigers won the title by nine strokes over second place Wake Forest. Georgia Tech took third place with a final round of 274 (-14) to take its combined total to 838(-16).

Virginia's Kevin O'Connell shot a final round of 73 (+1), which took him to 219(+3) for the tournament, and was tied for 25th place. Eamon McLouglin shot a final round of 74(+2), finishing the tournament with a combined total of 221 (+5) and the 29th place. Daniel McGurk was a stroke behind with a combined score of 221(+5), which put him in a tie for 32nd.
