Virginia tacks on recruit 21 for 2005

The Cavaliers received their 21st football commitment for the class of 2005 yesterday from defensive end Jeffrey Fitzgerald. Fitzgerald's verbal commitment comes before his senior year at Hermitage High School in Richmond.

As a junior, Fitzgerald tallied 49 tackles, five sacks, three recovered fumbles and three forced fumbles. The in-state star played tight end offensively for Hermitage, with 12 receptions for 229 yards and three touchdowns. He was named second-team All-State at defensive end and second-team All-District at tight end.
