ACC releases 2005 football matchups

The ACC unveiled the conference matchups for the 2005 football season Wednesday.

Virginia, part of the new Coastal Division, will host Duke, Florida State, Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech. The Cavaliers will be on the road versus Miami, ACC newcomer Boston College, North Carolina, and Maryland -- the school's primary crossover opponent.

Because of the new division realignments, Virginia will not play N.C. State, Wake Forest, or Clemson (part of the Atlantic Division) next season. It will be the second straight year Virginia has not faced the Wolfpack and the Demon Deacons.

The winner of the Atlantic and Coastal Divisions will meet in an ACC title game on Dec. 3 in Jacksonville.

Game dates and times have yet to be determined.
