Wrestling finishes 2-1 at Avalon Duals in Pennsylvania

The Virginia wrestling team won two matches but dropped one at the Avalon Duals in Edinboro, Pa. last weekend at Edinboro University. In the season opener, the men celebrated a close victory over Appalachian State, 25-21. Freshman Steve Hromada turned in an impressive performance, defeating Appalachian State's Tim Paul, 11-3.

The team went on to battle the University of Findlay and won handily by a score of 35-6, with seven Virginia men earning victories. In the third and final match, Virginia fell to the host team Edinboro, 26-6.

Virginia looks to improve its overall season record at Cornell's Body Bar Invitational next weekend.
