Would you take back a cheater?

Unless you've been living under a rock (or studying too much organic chemistry for summer courses), you have likely heard about the infidelity of super-hot actor Jude Law to his gorgeous fiancée, Sienna Miller. Not only did Jude cheat on the woman he intends to marry, he did it with his children's nanny!

While this news stunned the world, talk has been circulating about a possible reunion. The prospect of two of the world's most beautiful people making up may seem pleasant, but many University students do not seem to favor complete forgiveness in a serious relationship.

Third-year College student Michelle Moghtader said the issue is difficult to judge.

"Every situation is different," Moghtader said. "If someone was married and the husband cheated, it would be much harder to end the relationship, especially if they have kids."

Moghtader said if she were to end up in that situation, she would have trouble taking the guy back.

"It's something you can't ever forget, even if you forgive him," Moghtader said. "Also, if he cheated on me, then it would seem he didn't like me enough anyway and I shouldn't be with him. To take him back would hurt my pride."

Fourth-year College student Tyler Crain agreed forgiveness would depend on the individual situation.

"It would depend on what she did," Crain said. "Like, how far did she go. ... plus, you have to look at how hot she is. If she's totally out of your league, you might take her back and hope for smooth sailing from there on out."

Second-year College student Lizzi Carroll said the most important factor to consider is the girl the guy cheated with, rather than the cheater himself.

"I don't know if I would take back a cheater. ... I'd have to get a look at the girl first," Carroll said. "If he was going after a girl that looked like Richard Simmons, I don't think I should be dating him anyway."

But, Carroll said, if the guy cheated with a good-looking girl, he might be in luck.

"If she was hot then I might take him back," she said.

Taking Carroll's analysis into consideration, it seems as though Jude may not be packing his bags and saying goodbye to marriage anytime soon.
