Honoring local firefighters

I am just writing to say thank you to Charlottesville's firefighters. I live on Brandon Avenue, and while I was not personally affected by the apartment fire that happened there yesterday, I did witness you all in action and your ready response to put it out. I was on my way to see former U.S. Senator Bob Graham speak about 9/11. However, instead of going, I decided to watch you. While the time around 9/11 is a time to mourn the lives lost in the attacks, it is also a time to celebrate brave and selfless people like you. You truly do make a difference in the world and I just wanted to let you know that your contribution to society does not go unnoticed. So, thank you. Thank you for all that you do.
