Friday\nHaiti Dialogue Series: The Aftershocks of History in Haiti\n2 p.m., Monroe 130\nRevolving around the fact that Thomas Jefferson was president of the United States during the Haitian Revolution, this series will discuss the relations between the Haitian Revolution and American politics. The series includes a lecture by Laurent Dubois on "The Aftershocks of History in Haiti," as well as a discussion about initiatives on which University students and faculty may embark to rebuild the intellectual infrastructure of Haiti. Sponsored by the anthropology department.

Michael Owen Jones Lecture\n5 to 6 p.m., Campbell Hall Room 153\nTom Wiscombe's lecture, "Into the Jungle," will explore the geometries that let designers move into a more complicated frame of study. Wiscombe founded EMERGENT, an architectural design firm based in Los Angeles. Sponsored by the Architecture School.
