Baron joins Cavaliers

Estimated reading time: 0 minutes

Following the departure of Jeff Jones, Sylven Landesberg and Tristan Spurlock, coach Tony Bennett has been working to ensure his first recruiting class is able to fill some big shoes, with guard Billy Baron as the most recent athlete to commit to play for the Cavaliers. Baron played for Worcester Academy in Massachusetts this past season, averaging 27.5 points, 6.2 assists and 4.3 rebounds per game. He picked Virginia instead of Rhode Island, where his father is currently the head coach. Baron joins K.T. Harrell, Joe Harris, James Johnson, Akil Mitchell, and Will Regan in a class that currently ranks 15th in the country, according to Rivals.com.
