Unranked N.C. State rolls over No. 10 Virginia

The No. 10 Virginia men's soccer team concluded its regular season with a 2-0 loss against N.C State Saturday night. The unranked Wolfpack scored during the 32nd and 49th minutes, shutting out the Cavaliers for the fifth time this season. Both goals were scored from the flanks, as N.C. State junior forward knocked one in off a low cross, and senior midfielder Akil DeFreitas found the net on a deflected shot from the left wing.

Virginia made only seven shots during the match, short of the Wolfpack's 11. Senior goalkeeper Diego Restrepo kept the Cavaliers in the match with seven saves on the night, while N.C. State's freshman goalkeeper Carlos Villa was forced into just two saves.

The Cavaliers will begin postseason play Wednesday as the sixth seed in the ACC Tournament.
