Well, another Super Bowl has come and gone, and now comes one of our favorite times of the year here at Wahoo Auction - the post-big game auction blitz. In the upcoming weeks the market will be saturated with official memorabilia benefitting noble causes, including Eli Manning's "Chuck-n-Pray" Day Camp for Aspiring Quarterbacks and Wes Welker's after school program for children with hands of steel. Official, game-worn jerseys, footballs, autographs and even Giants' Super Bowl rings will surely find their way to auction houses near you in the upcoming weeks, as players and owners find more ways to extort money from their loving fans.

As much fun as following all these auctions will be, we would be remiss in our duties if we failed to auction Virginia sports memorabilia for students who aren't from the Empire State. So without further delay, and for possibly the last time, get your paddles ready, check your wallets and let the auctioning begin.

A glass of air: First on the block, we have this seemingly harmless glass of air. This isn't your everyday, funky-smelling, Cabell Hall air. No, this air comes straight from Tallahassee, Florida and the Donald L. Tucker Center, where the Florida State basketball teams play. You see, Virginia guard Sammy Zeglinski breathed this air as he launched one of his three impressive air balls in the Cavaliers' recent loss to the Seminoles. Be sure to bid on this item quickly, because Zeglinski's continued struggles from field mean that we here at Wahoo Auctions aren't sure how much longer we will be able to provide our patrons with anything Zeglinski-related, except maybe his game-worn warm-ups. Suggested opening bid: $50.

One of Briana Mao's golf balls: No item is too small for us here at Wahoo Auctions, so prepare to bid on this 1.6-ounce chunk of balata. While the rest of Cavalier-land was tuned in to Atlanta on New Year's Eve, we had one eye out West to witness Mao take home a share of the Silver Belle Golf Championship in Arizona. While the Silver Belle is no Masters, it has produced many LPGA greats, including Yani Tseni, the current No. 1 player in the world. Mao birdied three of her last four holes to grab a share of the title, and if you're the winner of this little item, we are confident you can do the same. Well, if you can't, at least we know it's not the ball's fault. Suggested opening bid: $75.

The quarterback helmet of the victim of Eli Harold's first Virginia sack: For those of you who have been attuned to the professionals playing football these past few days, national signing day has come and
