Men’s basketball unveils 2015-16 schedule

The Virginia men’s basketball team released its 2015-16 schedule Wednesday. The Cavaliers will play 30 games, including 15 home contests.

The schedule includes nine teams that appeared in the 2015 NCAA Tournament — Duke, Louisville, North Carolina, Louisville, Villanova, Notre Dame, North Carolina State, Ohio State and West Virginia.

The Cavaliers travel to Columbus, Ohio to face the Buckeyes on Dec. 1 as part of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. Virginia will also play West Virginia on Dec. 8 in the Jimmy V Classic at Madison Square Garden.

The Cavaliers commence ACC play on Jan. 2 against Notre Dame at John Paul Jones Arena. From there, Virginia has home-and-away series with Clemson, the Cardinals, Miami and Virginia Tech.

Virginia plays Boston College, the Tar Heels, the Wolfpack and Syracuse at home, and the Blue Devils, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Pittsburgh and Wake Forest on the road.


The season starts with a home game against Morgan State on Friday, Nov. 13.
