SUMMER SCENES: Salute to America 250 Celebration

Record-breaking heat and severe thunderstorms did little to deter the crowds that gathered on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. to celebrate America's 250th Independence Day Saturday. After waiting in line for hours, thousands of attendees were temporarily evacuated as storms moved through the area. President Donald Trump began his remarks approximately 75 minutes later than scheduled, and the Salute to America 250 celebration concluded with a fireworks display in the early hours of Sunday.
