Jury hears from Jackie’s friends

Tuesday’s trial presented the video depositions of Jackie’s friends Kathryn Hendley and Ryan Duffin, as well as the testimonies of Rolling Stone fact-checker Elisabeth Garber-Paul, Charlottesville Police Sergeant Jacob Via and Benjamin Rexrode, University Police Department crime prevention coordinator.


The new system allows students to print from mobile devices, Google Drive or Dropbox.

U.Va. implements new printing system

Recently, University Printing and Copying services replaced the printing systems in all libraries and other public areas with a new interface. Though students can print from more devices under the new system, some students find it to be slower and more complex than the old one.

Lawn room applications to open soon

The Lawn houses 54 students in single unit rooms, which are part of the original Academical Village and contain a lofted bed, sink and a rocking chair. All rooms except for room 50 also have fireplaces.

Erdely finishes testimony Saturday

Sabrina Rubin Erdely, author of “A Rape on Campus” and part of former Assoc. Dean Nicole Eramo’s $7.85 million lawsuit against Rolling Stone magazine, finished her testimony Saturday.


Cpt. Humayun Saqib Muazzam Khan is buried in Section 60 of Arlington National Cemetery, August 2nd, 2016. Khan was killed in action in Iraq on June 8, 2004 during Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF). Khizr Khan to speak at Old Cabell Hall

The University’s Miller Center will host Khizr Khan on Tuesday, Nov. 1 for a public dialogue about his role as a Muslim-American public figure during this year’s presidential election.


Dean Marsh Pattie, who served as a UJC judge for 10 years, gave a presentation to the committee about the University's policies on hazing.

The University Judiciary Committee had its general body meeting Sunday, where members discussed hazing at the University and the upcoming UJC Awareness Week.

CavFact’s website will be live next week and will allow University students to submit questions regarding the presidential election and other political issues.
