Former Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell and his wife Maureen were found guilty Thursday of accepting bribes from Jonnie Williams, CEO of the dietary supplements company Star Scientific, to promote a dietary supplement in exchange for nearly $170,000 in gifts and loans.

University braces for likely cuts in state funds

On Thursday, Uber launched services in 24 new cities across the U.S., most of which are college towns. “Part of our effort is to bring reliable and safe transportation to everyone, everywhere,” Uber spokesperson Taylor Bennett said.
