​Women’s soccer blasts Old Dominion, 5-0

After eight games, the second-ranked Virginia women’s soccer team has performed above and beyond expectations as it has dominated early season play. The Cavaliers had outscored opponents 23-3 entering Wednesday’s matchup, and they didn’t look at all slowed by their rough schedule — three games in six days — in their final out-of-conference game.

Cavs trump Cards, 23-21

This Saturday at Scott Stadium, the Virginia football team scored perhaps its most memorable and significant win of the past three seasons, pulling off a 23-21 upset against then-No. 21 Louisville before an announced crowd of 34,816 fans. The Cavaliers (2-1, 1-0 ACC), who received six votes in Sunday’s AP Top-25 Poll, trailed with less than four minutes left in the fourth quarter, but refused to lay down with the game on the line.


	The Virginia volleyball team is 6-0 to start a season for the first time since 2003, and junior middle hitter Natalie Bausback, the tournament MVP of both the Cavalier Classic and the Marshall Thunder Invitational, is a big reason why.
