The No. 17 Virginia women's tennis team recorded two upset victories against No. 12 Clemson and No. 13 Georgia Tech this past weekend to clinch a first-round bye in this week's ACC Tournament. The No. 18 Virginia women's tennis team closes its regular season against Clemson and Georgia Tech this weekend, seeking a first-round bye at the upcoming ACC Tournament. I'm generally not a fan of judging an athlete by how many championships he or she has won. I think that's too simplistic a metric and doesn't take into account a lot of things, such as the strength of the player's team, the strength of the league or much of anything apart from who gets lucky during the playoffs.
