After a wild fourth quarter of multiple lead changes, the Wake Forest football team beat Virginia, 34-30, with a long touchdown pass that was only intended to get a first down. Trailing, 30-27, with less than two minutes to go, the Demon Deacons (4-4, 2-4 ACC) were facing a third down with 7 yards to go on their own 36.

Virginia field hockey (13-7, 3-3 ACC) dismissed Duke, 3-1, Thursday in the first round, but fell to Maryland, 4-1, Friday in the semifinals to take third place in the ACC championship tournament this weekend at Chapel Hill.

Cavs quench thirst, down Nectars

The Virginia men's basketball team came out sporting new uniforms for Friday night's exhibition against the Nantucket Nectars, but fans were treated to something very familiar in the Cavaliers' 82-70 win. Junior Travis Watson dominated in the blocks, scoring eight of the Cavaliers' first 10 points.

As its regular season comes to a close, the Virginia men's soccer team might have forgotten what it's like to lose a game. With 14 victories under their belt, the Cavaliers head to College Park, Md., on Sunday to face tough competition from Maryland (7-6-1, 0-3-1 ACC). The match, which will be Virginia's final game in the ACC regular season, kicks off at 1 p.m.
