In one of their biggest tests of the season, the Cavaliers had to come from behind in order to defeat the Tar Heels and capture the program’s 14th ACC Championship.
The No. 6 Virginia men’s tennis team earned the regular-season title and the top seed in the Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Tennis Championship after defeating Virginia Tech Wednesday and Boston College Sunday.
The Cavaliers will head into the conference tournament with momentum on their side following a pair of wins in their final regular season match-ups
Before their first match on Friday, the Cavaliers celebrated senior day by honoring seniors Amber O'Dell and Sophia Munera.

Virginia has now won three matches in a row and have put themselves in a very strong position at 2-0 in the ACC, especially after going through a difficult stretch early in the season.
The Cavaliers will look to learn from these losses and rebound as the beginning of conference play looms.

Navarro joins current world No. 50 Danielle Collins — who won NCAA singles titles in 2014 and 2016 — in the record books as she brings home the Cavaliers’ third singles title.
This will mark the Cavaliers’ 15th trip to the NCAA Tournament Round of 16 in the last 16 seasons.
Having to battle back in multiple matches, the Cavaliers earned the ACC Championship title and finished off a perfect season in the conference.
Subhash has her eyes set on an ACC Championship, National Championship and maybe even a Grand Slam down the road.
With strong doubles play early and gritty performances from singles, there is no reason this team can't bring another ACC title back to Charlottesville.
With the two wins over the weekend, this marks the first ACC regular-season title for Coach Andres Pedroso as the head coach of the Virginia men’s tennis team.
Virginia leaves its new facility at Boar’s Head for the season a perfect 10-0 and remains undefeated in the ACC.
