Women's soccer notches historic win against UNC

The No. 1 Virginia women’s soccer team concluded its final road trip of the season with a convincing win against No 4 North Carolina Sunday, recording its 10th shutout of the season en route to a 2-0 victory that tied the squad for best start in program history.

The top-ranked Virginia women’s soccer team continued its perfect season Sunday, blanking Clemson 3-0 for its seventh shutout of the season to improve to 6-0 in ACC play for the first time in school history.

The No. 1 Virginia women’s soccer team performed brilliantly in its first road trip of the season, illustrating that its 7-0 start was not simply a product of home-field advantage. To stay unbeaten, the Cavaliers will need to prolong their road success when they face ACC nemesis Duke Thursday night.

Women's Soccer continues scoring barrage

The No. 5 Virginia women’s soccer team added two more dominating performances to its resume this weekend, handily defeating ninth-ranked Penn State and Richmond to extend its season-opening unbeaten streak to four games. The Cavaliers outshot their opponents a combined 55 to 17 and allowed just one goal to the Nittany Lions over the weekend.
