Senator Warner visits University Medical School

Sen. Mark Warner, D-VA, visited the Medical School’s Focused Ultrasound Center to see a demonstration of the cutting-edge focused ultrasound technology Wednesday morning. While there, he praised the benefits of government investment in research and development, promoting its place in both state and federal budgets.

Under-represented and over-reported

The percentage of honor offense reports filed against minority students relative to the undergraduate minority population has been a source of recurring criticism of the honor system.

	The Board of Visitors (above) met last Thursday and Friday to approve graduate tuition rates, among other things.

Board of Visitors increases graduate tuition

The Board of Visitors voted last week to increase the tuition rates for many graduate programs offered by the University, both in the College and other schools. The increases in tuition and fees range between 1.2 and 19.6 percent, with rates varying for in-state and out-of-state students.
