We don't really know why we wanted to go to Disney on Ice. We just knew we wanted to attend. And the price was right, $12 for "100 Years of Magic." That's only, like, $0.12 per year of magic, for those of you who aren't good at identifying a bargain. The premise was a simple one: In just two hours, performers were going to present 100 years of Disney's best music and magic, and they were going to do it on ice.

Student protesters arrested Saturday

Following the breakdown of negotiations between administrators and Living Wage Campaign protesters, 17 students conducting a sit-in at Madison Hall were arrested Saturday evening and held at the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail until Monday afternoon.

Biomed engineering receives award

The University's Department of Biomedical Engineering has been awarded a $2.9 million Walter H. Coulter Foundation Translational Partners award, University spokesperson Kathleen Valenzi said yesterday. During a three-stage review process, 63 universities applied for the grant; nine, including the University of Michigan and Stanford University, were awarded funding, Biomedical Engineering Prof.
